This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the Avicen clinical intelligence platform (the "Service"). It is designed to protect the security, integrity, and availability of the Service for all users.
By using the Service, you agree to comply with this AUP in addition to our Terms of Service. Violation of this policy may result in suspension or termination of your account.
Permitted Use
The Service is intended for use by qualified medical professionals and their authorized support staff for the following purposes:
- Processing and analyzing medical documents for clinical review and expert assessment
- Generating evidence-grounded reports, summaries, and timelines from patient records
- Using AI-assisted search and analysis to support clinical decision-making
- Collaborating with authorized team members on patient cases within your organization
Prohibited Conduct
You must not use the Service to:
- Process data for which you do not have proper legal authorization or patient consent
- Share login credentials or allow unauthorized persons to access the Service under your account
- Attempt to access other customers' data, bypass security controls, or exploit vulnerabilities
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without prior written authorization
- Upload malicious content, including viruses, malware, or code designed to disrupt the Service
- Use the Service for purposes unrelated to clinical document analysis, such as commercial data mining, competitive intelligence, or training external AI models
- Misrepresent AI-generated outputs as independently verified medical opinions or substitute them for clinical judgment
Content Standards
You are solely responsible for the content you upload to the Service. All uploaded content must:
- Be data you are legally authorized to process and have obtained necessary consents for
- Comply with applicable data protection laws (GDPR, FADP, HIPAA where applicable)
- Not contain content that is illegal, defamatory, obscene, or that infringes third-party intellectual property rights
Security Compliance
To maintain the security of the Service, you agree to:
- Use strong, unique passwords and enable multi-factor authentication when available
- Report any suspected security incidents or vulnerabilities to contact@avicen.io immediately
- Ensure that your devices and networks meet reasonable security standards before accessing the Service
- Not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service or its components
Medical Disclaimer
The Service is a clinical decision-support tool designed to assist qualified professionals. It does not provide medical advice, diagnoses, or treatment recommendations.
All AI-generated outputs must be reviewed and validated by a qualified medical professional before being relied upon. You accept full responsibility for any clinical decisions made using the Service.
Enforcement
Avicen reserves the right to investigate and take appropriate action against any violation of this AUP, including:
- Issuing a warning and requesting immediate corrective action
- Temporarily suspending access to the Service pending investigation
- Permanently terminating your account for repeated or severe violations
Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, please report it to contact@avicen.io. We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated AUP.
